The second branch of Ali’s Barbecue quickly became one of the island’s favourite spots for relaxation and quality time with family and loved ones. Just a 10-minute walk from Nai Harn Beach, it’s the perfect place for an early sunset dinner by the Andaman Sea.
But this branch has a deeper story.
In 2020, when COVID-19 brought the world to a halt, Phuket changed overnight. Fitness Street closed. Tourism disappeared. Restaurants were limited to a takeaway and delivery, yet there was no one left on the island to order.
It was during this uncertain time that our family made one of the boldest decisions in Ali’s BBQ history. While many business were shutting down, we chose to expand.
We opened our Nai Harn branch, closer to families, closer to the sea, closer to a new community that was unfamiliar to us.
It wasn’t just expansion.
